Sr. Cost Analyst


The Opportunity:

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Sr. Cost Analyst provides costing leadership, support, and analysis to the plant finance and Poultry business leadership team.
  • Looking for a versatile and self-motivated finance professional with strong technical skills and aptitude for modeling and analyzing data.
  • Key role in the budget/forecast process and responsible for monthly standard cost updates.
  • Work out of London with some travel to Corporate office in Mississauga.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Cost Validation and Setup:
    • Validate and establish standard costs for new products/materials in SAP.
    • Manage costing role for the Engineering Change Request process.
    • Work closely with Business Development and manage the Poultry new cost or cost changes tracker.
  • Monthly Cost Management:
    • Review and compile standard cost revisions in SAP.
    • Collaborate with departments for necessary information.
    • Release monthly costing changes in SAP.
    • Monitor and adjust costs based on market conditions.
  • Costing Budget Management:
    • Support costing budget for Poultry, set targets, update SAP costs.
    • Coordinate with plant finance for budget adherence and cost-saving opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3-5 years Finance background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree with specialization in business finance or accounting.
  • Tech-savvy with skills in data analysis using Power BI, Excel, and Impact 3C.
  • Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive self-starter with curiosity to improve processes.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing and SAP preferred.
