Project Assistant (Summer Student)

ECO Canada is looking for a performance-driven individual to join the team immediately. Reporting to the Manager, Professional Services, the successful candidate will have a passion for the environment and expertise in project coordination, marketing, and research.
- As a key member of the Professional Services team, the Project Assistant will be responsible for supporting key projects and initiatives. The specific duties performed by the Project Assistant will be determined by the current phase of each project and the priority of project tasks.
- While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and management of key programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
- Contributing to outreach efforts to increase program participation and awareness.
- Assisting with designing and developing promotional material for key project activities.
- With support from Professional Services team, assisting in organizing trainings and events and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attending meetings with the Professional Services Team.
- Responding to email requests and providing regular support to peers and leaders.
- Other duties as required.
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in Business, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with environmental sector trends and sustainability topics is a bonus.
- Ability to interpret information and synthesize complex ideas.
- Experience with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite .
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills .
- Fluent in English – Fluency in French is considered an asset.
- Committed, self-motivated and a great attitude.
