Position Summary:

  • Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Analyst I is a key member of the finance team.
  • The successful candidate employs a proactive and customer service focused approach to AP processing, preparing ad hoc reports, and resolving data integrity issues.
  • The successful candidate will foster a team culture and maintain an environment of continuous process improvement and outstanding customer service.
  • If you are energetic, have strong excel skills, like collaborating with others, and are good at managing multiple priorities and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Processes all invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responsible for various AP tasks including verifying invoices, coding, entering ERP systems, matching supplier invoices, managing vendor accounts, and processing payments.
  • Assists with journal entries, GL account reconciliation, credit card processing, expense reimbursements, and vendor account verification.
  • Provides excellent customer service to stakeholders including vendors, facilities, and colleagues.

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Accounting diploma with a minimum of 3 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, critical thinker, organized, and collaborative.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office .
  • SAP and D365 experience an asset.
  • Proactive, self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to multi-task, meet firm deadlines, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
