Accountant, Fixed Assets, Retail

Job Description:

• This position is required to be on-site and is located in Calgary, AB.
• There are two vacancies for this role.
• This position reports to Manager, Fixed Assets, Retail.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and perform assets management activities timely, completely, and accurately in multiple ERP systems.
• Perform routine and non-routine journal entries in multiple ERP systems.
• Assist in the GL reconciliation process.
• Prepare fixed assets reporting for various stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, planning and forecasting, tax department, and others.
• Support Retail branches in the fixed assets management process.
• Comprehend and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Engage in project activities and perform ad hoc tasks.
• Contribute to the process enhancement initiatives.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred
• 2+ years of Fixed Asset accounting experience would be considered an asset.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft 365.
• Growth mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong attention to details.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• SAP S4 or Peoplesoft experience would be considered an asset.
