Maintenance Technician, Mill

Job Description:

• Position Title: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
• Location: Souris Feedmill
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Reporting to: Manager, Feed Mill
• Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul plant production equipment, building, and grounds
  • Perform preventative maintenance and improvements to production equipment
  • Support projects and work on project teams for new equipment
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and meter readings
  • Schedule, track, and complete preventative maintenance
  • Control inventory of required parts
  • Troubleshoot machine problems independently
  • Respond to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotational basis

Requirements:

• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of PLC and controls
• Licensed Industrial Mechanic , Class 4 Power Engineer, or equivalent work experience
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license required
• Valid Class1 license considered an asset
