Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

• Department: Maintenance
• Reports to: Maintenance Manager
• Direct Reports: 10
• Status: Full-time
• Job Scope:
• Responsible for safe and efficient operation and electromechanical repairs of all plant equipment
• Maintenance of the plant infrastructure
• Leading and supporting maintenance staff to improve processes and efficiencies
• Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems, machinery, boilers, and refrigeration systems
• Lead maintenance team in scheduling, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair
• Coordinate skilled trades and outside contractors for safe work completion
• Maintain Quality System and comply with manufacturing codes and standards
• Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
• Improve existing maintenance systems and recommend enhancements
• Assist in budget establishment and maintenance staff training and development
• Manage parts ordering and inventory
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality regulations
• Attend courses and training as required
• Handle other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Educational background in mechanical or engineering technology with Millwright and/or Electrician license
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the food/beverage industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Troubleshooting ability, including PLC programming and preventative maintenance
• Progressive approach to maintenance and process improvement
• Computer skills, including MS Office
• Effective prioritization and scheduling in a fast-paced environment
