Plant Controller

Job Description

• Department: Finance
• Reports to: Director of Finance, Dairy & Supply Chain
• Status: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Create, Maintain, Update Standard Costs for manufactured products
• Support Operations with production reporting requirements
• Finance Lead for ERP Conversion Project & other integration initiatives
• Support Corp Accounting Needs
• Analyze variances to standard costs & operation benchmarks
• Report milk and usage to the Dairy Board
• Prepare and complete monthly finance close and management reports
• Prepare cost estimates for new products
• Assist with cost benefit analyses for CapEx projects, monitor spend
• Calculate actual savings from Cost savings initiatives
• Audit Accounts Payable Invoices after departmental authorization
• Prepare and present annual plant budget
• Other duties and projects assigned

Requirements

• Post-secondary education and holds a CPA designation
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience within a food processing or manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting background
• Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics an asset
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
