Position: Natural Asset Project Coordinator

Parkland County has an opportunity for a temporary, full-time Natural Asset Project Coordinator position in the Agriculture & Environment Services Department until approximately May 2026. Reporting to the Manager, Environment Services, the Natural Asset Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities under the natural asset management project and the wetland replacement program.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Professional Biologist or Professional Agrologist designation with applicable specializations is an asset.
  • GIS and/or asset management training, coursework, or certification would be considered assets.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Ecosystem conservation and restoration as well as inventorying and valuation.
  • Experience in asset management and working with asset management systems.
  • Proven ability to organize and coordinate community engagement events or projects.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.

The total rewards package for this position includes a starting annual salary of $82,300 to $85,600, based on a 35-hour workweek and the option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
