  • Job Overview: GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking a qualified Oilfield Electrician for a full-time position based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in a dynamic oilfield environment. This role offers stable, year-round work with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an oilfield setting.
    • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Follow all safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Coordinate with other trades and site personnel to complete work efficiently.
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Qualifications:
    • Journeyman Electrician certification.
    • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or oilfield setting.
    • Solid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and oilfield safety practices.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Required Safety Tickets:
      • H2S Alive
      • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED
      • CSO or BSO
      • Fall Protection
      • Confined Space Entry & Monitor
      • WHMIS 2015
      • Ground Disturbance
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in oilfield production or plant operations.
    • Familiarity with PLCs and automated control systems.
    • Previous work in high-voltage or hazardous locations considered an asset.
  • Work Environment:
    • Outdoor industrial/oilfield settings with exposure to changing weather conditions.
    • Use of personal protective equipment required.
