Head Miller

Join our team that shares your Passion & Heart for Canadian agriculture! Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Head Miller for our Milling division based in Lethbridge, AB.

• Manage the Mill and provide support to other departments.
• Daily, perform milling performance evaluations, inspection, and follow up on assigned duties.
• Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies in the Mill.
• Liaise with production planning, transportation and maintenance on flour needs and downtime.
• Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures .
• Ensure Health and Safety programs are being implemented and enforced.
• Maintain a safe working environment and high standard of housekeeping and sanitation.
• Coordinate ongoing training for all personnel.
• Implement and manage wheat grist changes as required.
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the Mill preventive maintenance program.

• Completion of secondary education with a degree or diploma in flour milling is required.
• Several years of industry experience in food or beverage processing or manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of related supervisory experience, preferably as a Head Miller or similar roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience managing in a represented, multi-shift operation is preferred.
