Financial Analyst III (#25-36)


Job Description

Parkland County has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Financial Analyst III position in the Finance department. Under the direction of the Senior Financial Analyst, this position is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of financial services including operating and capital budget preparation, long-term planning, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation. The Financial Analyst III will also provide collaborative financial support to County departments.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
  • At least five years of experience in the areas of municipal/public accounting, the Municipal Government Act , budgeting, planning, business modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong technical skills to evaluate, investigate, and interpret information related to budgets, plans, and forecasts.
  • Proven ability to work and solve problems independently and collaboratively and integrate as a valuable team member.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 or complex financial systems and the ability to access and manipulate data from various financial and non-financial information systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

  • A starting annual salary of $90,500 to $101,800, based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
