Senior Vessel Operations & Chartering Manager

  • Job Description:
    • As the Senior Vessel Operations & Chartering Manager, the successful candidate will oversee and optimize vessel loading operations, fleet tracking, laytime management, and chartering activities. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient vessel scheduling, cost-effective operations, and maintaining strong relationships with vessel owners.
    • Day to day responsibilities include maximizing load plans for optimal efficiency and monitor operations performance, including Time On Dock and Time In Port, overseeing fleet tracking and providing insights for operational improvements, negotiating laytime statements and review demurrage to minimize financial exposure and optimize cost management.
  • Requirements:
    • Post-secondary education in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
    • Experience in vessel operations, chartering , and/or shipping logistics.
    • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, port operations, and vessel performance metrics.
    • Proficiency in port cost analysis, tariff structuring, and shipping logistics software.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize costs and provide actionable insights.
