Field Operations Manager
Job Description:
- The Jealous Fruits Field Operations Manager is responsible for working with the Field team on creating a proactive plan of identifying areas of concern and constructively working with the team on implementing the agreed plan of action that will help deliver the company goals and the quality fruits while following the company standards.
- Under the direction of the VP, Orchards Operations, the Field Operations Manager will be responsible for working with the Farm Managers on harvest preparation needs; creating an efficient equipment maintenance and purchasing system; be instrumental in working with Farm Managers on creating and implementing farm specific health and safety standards and training programs and leading their team members to achieve personal and company goals.
Requirements:
- Key Responsibilities include management, harvest organization, training program development, health and safety regulations enforcement, organization and logistics cohesion, equipment and fleet management, and facilities management.
- Competencies required are quality focus, commercial mindset, cultivating innovation, developing talent, situational adaptability, and courage.
- Specific Skills needed are effective organizational, problem-solving, project management, leadership, interpersonal communication, written and oral communication skills, strong time management, Class 5 driver’s license, and a clean driver's abstract.
- Knowledge in machinery and safe operating procedures, and WorkSafe BC Regulations and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Accountable for the implementation of safe standards and practices in the field, support and execution of the field training program, and ensuring health and safety of all persons on their orchards.
