Environmental Health & Safety Manager


  • Job Summary:

    GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a dedicated EH&S Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations, minimize risks, and foster a zero-accident culture. The EH&S Manager will work closely with management, employees, and external stakeholders to maintain high safety standards in all operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal and provincial safety regulations.
    • Conduct hazard assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure COR registration and ISO 45001 certification processes are met and maintained.
    • Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental public policies related to soil disposal, water management, and other environmental regulations.
    • Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Provide regular compliance reports and recommendations to management.
    • Ensure all employees complete required safety training and maintain up-to-date training records.
    • Work with external vendors and training providers to source the best safety and wellness programs.
    • Actively participate in Joint Health and Safety Committees and communicate safety standards across the organization.
    • Keep prequalification platforms up to date with required documentation.
    • Stay informed about changing industry safety regulations and best practices, ensuring company-wide compliance.
  • Requirements:
    • Strong knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EH&S management in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
    • Environmental Professional and NCSO certifications required.
    • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is an asset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
    • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills to effectively engage employees and management.
