Production Manager

Job Description:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, developing strategies to meet production goals at minimal cost, and upholding a safe work environment for employees. The Production Manager will work directly with department heads to coordinate production and distribution activities and ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

• College diploma or degree in manufacturing/production management or a related field of study; and/or equivalent related work experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with strong organizational skills.
• Computer literate and mechanically inclined.
• 5+ years of previous management experience in a food manufacturing environment with proven leadership skills.
• Effective leadership skills and motivational abilities, with a strong focus on plant and business processes.
• Ability to identify key issues, overcome internal challenges or obstacles creatively and strategically.
• A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
