Grain Buyer

  • Job Description:
    • We are looking for a Grain Buyer to join our Supply Chain team! Our Buyer will be sourcing and purchasing ingredients for our delicious, plant-powerful products.
    • In this role, you will be involved in purchasing organic grains from local and international suppliers that meet our quality standards. You will have experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management, including building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and farmers.
    • You must have sound project management skills to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. You will also be involved with procurement process including POs, inventory management, contract negotiations, new supplier approvals, and process improvement.

    • Knowledge & Skills: Experience with lean manufacturing practices, detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities, intermediate Excel skills, strong computer skills
    • Experience: Proven experience as a Grain Buyer or in a similar purchasing role, 3-5 years of sourcing and buying experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Nice-to-Have: Experience purchasing food ingredients, co-packing experience, post-secondary education in supply chain management, Agriculture, or business.
