Third Class Power Engineer (Amine Experience)


  • Job Description:

    GrizzlyTrek is seeking two Third Class Power Engineers with Amine experience for a full-time opportunity at a facility in Medicine Hat, AB. This role requires expertise in power plant operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting within an industrial setting. The successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant's amine processing and power generation systems.

  • Requirements:
    • Minimum Third Class Power Engineer certification.
    • Hands-on experience with amine gas treatment systems in an industrial, oil & gas, or petrochemical environment.
    • Strong understanding of high-pressure steam and hot water distribution systems, process equipment , water treatment systems, and control systems.
    • Proficiency in using computerized building management systems and plant monitoring software.
    • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
    • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shift work and potential overtime.
    • Education & Certifications: Third Class Power Engineer Certificate , additional certifications in Amine Plant Operations or related processes are strong assets, valid safety certifications, and a valid Certificate in Gas Fitting Class C or better with Electrical Endorsement.
    • Additional legal and physical requirements to work in Canada, willingness to work abnormal hours, physical labor ability up to 23 kg, and must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
