4th class Power Engineer - Sour Gas Plant Operator

Job Description:

• Plant Operator
• Min 8 years’ Experience in Oil & Gas Field Operations
• Operating the plant within the Alberta Power Engineering Regulations under the Alberta Safety Codes Act
• Having a full working knowledge of plant equipment, operations and monitoring facilities
• Day-to-day safe operation and upkeep of the gas plant and field equipment
• A plant, field, and administrative presence that will balance with the day to day requirements and activities
• Support and initiate safe work practices, development of SOP’s, review, and personnel validation
• Identify and recommend opportunities to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime
• Safe work permitting, coordinating and supervision of work for maintenance and contracting crews
• Initiating changes to work routines where performance can be improved without sacrificing safety or product quality

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
• Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, T.D.G, and First Aid
• 3rd class Power Engineering or Higher would be an asset
