Maintenance Technician - Industrial Electrician
Job Description:
- We are looking for someone with electro mechanical aptitude who is interested in an Industrial Maintenance Technician role in a fast-moving food processing plant.
- The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical.
- Journeyman tickets are preferred and strongly valued.
- The goal of the successful candidate would be to provide the plant with a high level of maintenance expertise, ensuring departmental downtime, meet Company objectives efficiently, and carry out equipment and building repairs as required, while adhering to quality, safety, and legislative guidelines.
- Performs all tasks as per recommended job methods, procedures, etc., particularly on the installation, maintenance, and repairs of food processing and packaging equipment.
- Carries out preventive maintenance tasks to processing floor and general building maintenance such as overhead doors, lighting systems, fire alarm, piping system, sanitation pumps, water pumps, waste pumps, boilers, and more.
- Maintenance checks for rooftop Units, exhaust fans, heating systems, air compressors, and mobile equipment checks and minor repairs.
- Mechanical skills include maintaining and repairing solenoids, bearings, motors, pumps, and more.
- Ability to maintain and repair safety systems, electrical systems, and food processing equipment.
- Plans and organizes all aspects of work orders and assignments efficiently.
- Experience in a food processing plant .
- Experience with food processing equipment - proper care and handling.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Electrical or Millwright ticketed, or eligible and valid application through the Alberta apprenticeship board.
- High school diploma .
- Success-driven and have a “can do” attitude.
- Good safety record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in ever-changing environments, including overtime, weekend work, and on-call/support as required.
