Maintenance Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train crews, including planning manpower and work organization, managing absenteeism and conflict.
• Administer appropriate coaching and leadership guidance; develop employees in accordance with the department's needs.
• Track, maintain, and order parts and supplies needed for effective maintenance.
• Manage maintenance procedures and crew activities to meet or exceed quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Implement continuous improvement philosophy in all operation areas.
• Liaise with other departments on maintenance concerns and maintain strong relationships in and outside the organization.
• Conduct monthly meetings with maintenance crew and report back to Plant Manager.
• Participate in JHSC initiatives and follow established Health and Safety policies.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all Quality Systems.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong safety focus; flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• 3+ years related and/or supervisory experience.
• Diploma or post-secondary education with Technical Certificate preferred.
• Experience in meat processing an asset.
• Success-driven with a "can do" attitude.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
