Field - Horticulture Assistant
Job Description:
- Jealous Fruits is the northernmost large scale cherry producer in North America.
- Premium cherries grown along Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada.
- Hand packed in a state-of-the-art facility on the farm and shipped worldwide.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Willingness to work extended hours during harvest months.
- Strong English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license.
Benefits:
- Full-time seasonal position.
- Contract length from late April to late August.
- Hourly wage of $20-$22 per hour.
- Bursary of up to $3,000 available for full-time students.
- Challenging work environment with physically demanding tasks.
- Limited days off during growing and packing season.
- Work week is Sunday-Thursday.
- Extra time off during peak harvest season.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
