    Journeyman Pipeline Insulator
  • Location:
    Edmonton, Alberta
  • Compensation:
    $42/hour, depending on experience and journeyman status
  • Project Start Date:
    February 2025
  • Project Duration:
    Throughout 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insulation Installation: Precisely measure, cut, and install various types of insulation materials for pipelines to meet thermal and environmental specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to job site standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Assess pipeline layouts and adapt insulation techniques to overcome challenging angles, obstructions, or environmental factors.
  • Material Management: Ensure accurate usage and handling of insulation materials to minimize waste and meet project timelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect completed work for quality assurance and address any necessary adjustments.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any project-specific challenges or solutions.

Requirements:

  • Reliable Transportation: Candidates must have dependable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Driver's License: A valid Class 5 driver's license is considered an asset.
  • Traits and Skills of a High-Quality Pipeline Insulator:
    • Exceptional attention to detail for precision insulation installation.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to adapt to unique project challenges.
    • Physical stamina and dexterity to work in demanding environments.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
    • Strong communication skills for clear coordination with project leads and team members.
    • A commitment to safety and adherence to workplace standards and regulations.
